Infusion Update July 17: Fighting Cancer with Keytruda and Morning Sunshine

Morning Sunshine Fights Cancer

Morning Sunshine Cancer Treatment

Some days, healing begins with something as simple as a cup of coffee in the morning sun. Every day, I sit outside for 20 or 30 minutes and let that early light gently touch my skin. It is more than warmth. It is medicine. When the sunlight hits, my body creates vitamin D, which then transforms into a powerful hormone called calcitriol. This hormone can help slow cancer growth, encourage healthy cell repair, and even stop tumors from building the blood vessels they need to spread.

But this ritual is not just physical. It is emotional. It is spiritual. Sitting in the quiet morning light brings a sense of peace that no medication can match. I wrote a full blog post about this if you want to dive deeper into the science and hope behind it: Morning Sunshine Fights Cancer

Keytruda Infusion – Round Two

I am now two rounds into Keytruda, the immunotherapy drug I receive every three weeks at Regions Hospital. This second infusion felt noticeably stronger. Heavier. Almost like my body is running a marathon while I’m just sitting still. I am not out of breath, my vitals are normal, but something deep inside is revving at full speed. The best way to describe it is high energy, high metabolism, and zero physical activity to justify it.

I do get a little dizzy when I stand too fast, but thankfully, I have not experienced the nausea and gut-wrenching effects that often come with traditional chemotherapy. Small victories matter.

Pushing Keytruda into Overdrive with High Dose Vitamin C

This week I also received two more High Dose Vitamin C infusions—bringing my total to six so far. These are powerful tools in my treatment plan. At very high doses, vitamin C flips the script. It changes from a protective antioxidant into a targeted pro-oxidant, creating hydrogen peroxide in the fluid around cells.

Here’s the amazing part. Healthy cells have enzymes that quickly break that peroxide down into water and oxygen. Cancer cells usually do not. The hydrogen peroxide builds up and damages those cancer cells from the inside out, while leaving healthy tissue alone. I go into detail in my latest blog post: What is High Dose IV Vitamin C?

Getting the Word Out

I’ve started sending my story to more newspapers. If you know someone in the media or have a contact who might help spread the word, please reach out. I believe in what I’m doing, and I want others fighting this same battle to know they have options, they have support, and they are not alone.

Every share, every message, every donation—it all makes a real difference. I’m incredibly grateful for the support you have given me so far. If my journey has inspired you or someone you care about, please consider sharing my blog, donating to my GoFundMe, or simply sending a kind word. These small actions create a ripple of hope that travels farther than you know.

Thank you for walking this path with me. With love and determination,
Wayne
